About the Course: The course will provide understanding of petroleum production systems, reservoir deliverability and well performance concepts, evaluation of results based on different popular/standard methods used in the industry. The course will also entail different artificial lifts used in the industry laying out the concepts & functions of every component of each of the artificial lifts. Students will be provided excel spreadsheets to understand and calculate different variables as an output & analyze the impact on the production rates facilitating decision making.

Learning Objective:

  • Understand and apply the principles of multiphase tube and pipe flow
  • Examine the drawdown potential of each method, the starting and operating costs, and the range of production and depth feasible with each method; concerns such as sand/scale/deviation, among others, are discussed with each method.

Course Duration: 5+ hours
