About
the Course: The practices for complicated highly deviated
wells will be covered and participants will receive instructions on planning
and evaluating these wells based on the objectives and how to perform the
proper planning for an ERD well. In addition, this training course will cover
which drilling parameters and Special
tools for ERD should be focused during both planning and
execution for a well with fewer problem well and new technologies in ERD.
Learning Objective: Our objective is to teach drilling practices and problems from spud to completion for all levels from assistant driller to drilling manager. The course is taught by hole-intervals starting with top-hole problems related to big-hole and normal pressure. After an appropriate casing string has been set, drilling continues into the abnormal pressure zone and heavy mud practices and problems are discussed.
Course Duration: 10+ hours
Prerequisites: Graduates or engineers with experience,
engaged in drilling operations, production operations, workover, and completions;
petroleum engineering in both the service and operating sectors.
Topics to be Covered:
